According to government statistics, there are 15,000 fires in workplaces and places where people gather in England every year. That’s 40 fires a day.

The costs associated with fire are significant from physical costs including destruction of property, loss of income and increased insurance premiums, through to immeasurable, profound costs including loss of life, severe injury and reputational damage.

However, fire is preventable.

The Course

The Fire Safety in the Workplace Short Course is designed to help you and your business understand the risks of fire and the steps that can be taken to mitigate the risk of fire. It will provide the knowledge required to prevent fire and protect people from harm.

The course outlines from the very basics of how fire starts and spreads, through to risk assessments and managing risk, as well as outlining the legal obligations of different people in the workplace and their roles and responsibilities relating to fire safety.

Who Is It Aimed At?

Any employee or manager where there is a requirement to understand fire safety, their roles and responsibilities and the risks associated with fire.  This course can be used as a stand-alone module or included in an induction programme.

How It Works

Our e-learning is available to use on multiple platforms such as tablets, PCs and laptops. All you need is an internet connection. Learners simply log on to the JWP Training Learner Management System (LMS) and work their way through the course, along with the scenarios that provide them with real-life context.

Learners are assessed at the end of the course by multiple-choice questions.

Certification

Learners will receive a Highfield e-learning completion certificate, which is downloadable upon successfully finishing the course.
